New generation of motorcycles

Harley is hitting the market hard aiming sales at youth with a new generation of motorcycle.

Harley is looking to bring fast, sleek and clean lines to the younger generation in attempts to keep up with the competition.

This new generation of crotch rocket is projected to hit the Harley Davidson sales floors early September 20010.

They call it the HDSCR. (Harley Davidson Super Crotch Rocket)

Funny Front: Tier Motorsports’ Yamaha R1 concept

Over the last few decades, some manufacturers and independent specialists have tried to break away from the ubiquitous telescopic front fork, and tried various kinds of alternative front suspension on motorcycles. However, BMW seem to be the only bike manufacturers who’ve ever had any significant commercial success with bikes that had alternative front ends, while the Britten V1000 is probably the only successful racebike that did not use the conventional fork.

In theory, some alternative front ends – the front swingarm for example – can separately deal with the forces generated by braking, steering and cornering a motorcycle, and thus offer significantly better handling. In practice, however, very few of these systems seem to have worked.

In any case, there is no dearth of people who keep trying to find a suspension solution that’s better than the good old telescopic fork, and that’s where Tier Motorsports come in. This company has designed a concept motorcycle, based on the Yamaha R1, that’s fitted with a single-side swingarm and a monoshock in place of the regular USD fork.

Among a dozen other things, the Tier Motorsports’ front end uses a completely vertical steering axis, instead of the tilted steering axis that telescopic forks have to use because of their rake. Claimed advantages are adjustable dive under braking, more consistent steering, increased high speed stability, better ride comfort, full-range adjustability and an increase in braking performance.

The claimed advantages all sound good, but we wonder if this single-sided front swingarm will ever make to production reality. Given how good USD forks on modern sportsbikes have become, the possibility for alternative front suspension being accepted on mainstream bikes looks bleak. That is, unless this kind of suspension is backed up by some other pathbreaking technology, like two-wheel-drive perhaps. A 2WD Yamaha R1 with single-sided front and rear swingarms? Hmmm… now that would be interesting!

New Honda Air Blade i

The latest Honda motorcycle in the Thai domestic line up to get the PGM-FI (fuel Injection) upgrade is the Honda Air Blade. At first glance, the new and stylish Honda Air Blade i looks to be no much different than his none fuel injection brother in the range. This doesn't change when you site on the bike as the lightweight and compact dimensions give little indication of the true engine capability.

But twist the throttle, and rocket off you go, pin the throttle back and it soon becomes apparent which machine you actually on. The Honda Air Blade PGM-FI really does lift its skirt and get a move on.

The 108cc liquid-cooled SOHC single-cylinder four-stroke engine, equipped with the latest on fuel injection and electronic ingestion and fuel control systems making the ride both fun and very rapid. The engine is both torquey and revvy, making the most of any available acceleration.

With its well designed and proven frame design, well-controlled suspension and perfect balanced rubber, the chassis is tight and accurate through bends. With Honda's Combi-brake technology, the stopping department not only matches this fine handling, it surpasses it.

On the fuel consumption, the Honda Air Blade i with PGM-FI uses about 15% LESS fuel then it the Honda Air Blade equipped with regular carburetor. The Honda Air blade i with PGM-FI is not only better in fuel economics, the performance is so much better, and during this all producing 80% less dangerous exhaust emissions. Honda claims that you would save per year, being a average rider, more then 1,500 Baht per year. Also Honda claims that the new improved Air Blade i engine need less service per year.

The new for 2009 Honda Air Blade i with PGM-FI (fuel injection) system comes in the color combinations; model NC110AM has "White-Red Deluxe" and "Black-Silver", and model NC110AP has the colors "Precious Golden Brown" and "Rubilize Red". The main difference between the Honda Air Blade NC110AM and NC110AP is that the NC110AM has spoke wired wheels and the NC110AP has light weight aluminum alloy wheels.

Son's of Anarchy... Newbie... Son's of Anarchy...Newbie

I couldn't decide what to name this post, Son's of Anarchy, or newbie. Seeing is it is about both the Son's of Anarchy show, and a newbie to comments on my blog.

Anyway, anytime I see a comment on my blog, I read it. I never skip past a single one. I may not comment on everyone, especially when it's on a hot topic and I can't keep up, or when I'm extremely busy, but I never miss reading one.

When I get a comment from someone new, who has never left a comment before, I always check out their profile if they have one, and then if they have a blog, I'll go an check it out as well.

I guess this is how we "spread the love" as I like to call in in Bloggerville.

I'd like to welcome and introduce to you,
Jocelyn from Physical Possum, whom left a comment on my post last Thursday from Son's of Anarchy Episode 12 review. I went and checked out her site. She had a post on her site from Friday Nov. 12th that was like the best summary of the show I've seen yet. This in itself is worth reading. If you need a briefing on the show as a whole in one short read. She definitely sums it up nicely. Hell even if you know what's going on, check it out.

Her post is called..... How much is too much?

What are you waiting for man?..... Go and check it out already!

Son's of Anarchy Episode 13 review

The season finale lucky#13 episode did not disappoint.

The show started out with Gemma confronting Clay regarding what he knew of the Donna shooting. When he could not answer the question that it had nothing to do with the club, She knew it did. This brought Clay to tears.

We moved onto the local police station where Unser and Hale start laying blame on Donna's death, and ultimately decide that maybe the outlaws should serve up their own justice. Hale slips a bit of information to Jax, so he can go ballistic.

Half Sack shows back up in this episode.

Tara has a talk with Jax about her going back to Chicago, which Jax wants to hear nothing of the sorts.

Gemma finds John Teller's Journal while unpacking some of Jax's belongings. Confronts Clay with it, and Clay looses his Sh*t over it and storms out in a rage. Gemma mutters to herself "Your loosing control, just like he did" referring to John Teller.

There is a hold up in the bar that the Niner's (the black gang involved in the prior episode's shoot out) hang out in started by Piermont Winston (AKA Piney) Opies father. Jax and Half-sack save the day here, by getting Piney and themselves out alive. Here it is revealed that the hit on Donna was not gangster, and not served up by the Niners.

There is a scene where ATF Agent June Stahl is in with Bobbi in jail, and she reveals to him that she set up Opie, and that Donna's death was a mistake. Did She do this to vent, or did she do this to get Bobbi to turn on the club for killing Donna? Maybe something more was in her motives that I've not figured out yet. We'll have to wait and see.

Jax confront's Clay in the clubhouse. Asks him if he had anything to do with the hit intended for Opie, and mistakenly taken out on Donna. Clay blatenly denies it, and Jax walks out on him. Jax finds out that the informant witness is a 17 year old girl, and goes off to stop the other club members from putting a hit on her. Jax and Tig get into it over Jax stopping the hit. Tig says, "You've crossed the line Jax" to which Jax replies, "Not yet" and then the brawl between the two is on. Jax ultimately kicks Tigs ass.

We skip by to a scene where Piney is reading a note from John teller that he has clearly hung onto for years. The note reveals how much the club has changed since the two of them founded the SOA MC.

We then back track to a scene where Jax spends some time alone clearing his head after the fight with Tig. Jax is drinking some beer, and smoking some weed in the cemetary where John Teller, his father is burried. He wakes up in the cemetary the next morning and gives a blanket he borrowwed from a homeless bag lady back to her, and proceeds to walk down to the funeral burial that has started for Donna.

Jax leaves the funeral burial right quick, and as he is walking away, Tara leaves the funeral burial to follow behind. They embrace in a kiss.

Piney comes up to Jax, hands him a large stack of papers. (I did not catch exactly what they were) Club rights, or something. Piney says to Jax, "Time for a change." then walks away.

Jax goes to John Teller's grave, and we see Gemma and Clay looking at him with great concern. This is where the episode ends for a cliffhanger waiting untill next season.

Wholy crap it't been a hell of a ride. I'm stoked for next season. How about You!?!?!
